響 Suntory Hibiki Japanese Harmony Blended Whisky (700ml)

Background: Released in March 2015 Japanese Harmony is the latest release of the famous blended Whisky brand HIBIKI. Hibiki, meaning resonance in japanese, is a blend composed with the best single malts from Yamazaki and Hakushu aged in different types of casks and grain whiskies from Chita distillery.

Tasting Note: Japanese Harmony has a light, floral nose. There's more complexity there, too, with oak, an herbal background and faint Sherry notes. On the palate, you’ll find that Sherry sweetness shining through, with candied fruits and honey, along with a creamy mouthfeel. The whisky is smooth with no burn on a medium length finish, backed by lasting notes of oak and more honey. This is one that could be enjoyed either neat or on the rocks.
