Tasting: Grand Cru is Hoegaarden's masterpiece. A hazy orange colour, a fruity aroma and an complex sweet and bitter taste. The subtle spices a.nd citrus notes complete the picture. Tripel version of Hoegaarden, since 1991 and somewhat of a classic. Ochre blonde colour with fluffy, snow white head; sweet maltiness and fruitiness (of banana and peach) predominate, bit yeasty, spicy notes (coriander), soft mouthfeel, warming alcohol in the finish.
