SELECTED AS THE WORLD NO.2. MOST EXCITING SWEET WINE OF THE WORLD BY DECANTER MAGAZINE IN 2017
The Szepsy Szamorodni 2013 is a lovely dessert wine in a lighter style than Aszú, but with all the complex aromatics of the Furmint grape.
The year 2013 was a well-balanced vintage and resulted in concentrated wines with relatively high acidity. The Szamorodni 2013 shows a lot of fruitiness and carries a dynamic, clean taste: it has a golden-apricot color, a rich nose of pineapple, orange marmalade and clover honey.
Grapes: 30% Furmint and 70% Hárslevelű
Food Pairing: This wine is a great choice with foie gras, blue cheeses, chocolate desserts and of course just by itself as an aperitif.
Mature: Two and a half years in 200 liter Hungarian oak barrels
Award / Rating: SELECTED AS THE WORLD NO.2. MOST EXCITING SWEET WINE OF THE WORLD BY DECANTER MAGAZINE IN 2017
