Background: Hinch “Craft & Casks”, is a partnership between Hinch distillery and Irish Craft breweries to create distinctly different beer barrel-aged whiskies.This Imperial Stout Finish whiskey uses casks which aged Imperial Stouts at the Whitewater Brewery in Co Down, sitting in the shadows of the Mourne Mountains. Their Imperial Stout brings orchard fruits and a luxurious mouthfeel of buttered toffee, coffee, and vanilla sweetness with cinnamon spice to follow.Hinch's whiskey was aged in craft beer casks for a minimum of 12 months. A modern and bold move for the whiskey lovers proudly made in County Down.

Tasting Note:

NOSE: The aroma of dark chocolate, honey and charred Oak is immediately apparent, along with a hint of citrus orange, vanilla., floral and herbal notes.

PALATE: Roasted malt, espresso, and caramel, with notes of dark chocolate and liquorice. Subtle fruitiness with hints of dried apricot.

FINISH: The finish is long and satisfying with the chocolate and coffee notes .
