Background: Peddlers Shanghai Gin is distilled in the London Dry method. Combining a traditional juniper base with rare Chinese botanicals such as Sichuan pepper, Buddha’s Hand and Tianshan almonds, Peddlers captures a unique yet balanced taste.

Tasting: 

Nose: Powerful earthy notes, supported by aromatic east Asian mint andstrongly scented Buddha’s Hand. A faint floral ending of Sichuan pepper.

Palate: Resinous juniper immediately on the tongue, with earthy flavors of angelica, cinnamon and liquorice. This is followed by citrus and pepper notes filling the mouth. Mellowing into warmer tastes of coriander seeds and Tianshan almonds.

Finish: Gentle oils from juniper, coriander and almonds eventually give way to a pleasant, lingering mouthful of mala spice imbued by the Sichuan pepper.
