Tasting: Forest Gin is a small batch of home-made Gin. To do this, they soaked some classic gin botanicals in organic grain essential oils. They will then use a pestle and mortar to bind their herbal medicine before foraging from the Macclesfield forest - which includes wild blueberries, golden flowers, raspberries. It is distilled through its own copper condenser and mixed with local spring water to bring it down to 42% ABV.Fragrant and forest-y, earthy moss kicks things off, swiftly followed by subtle fruity notes, liquorice and a burst of cinnamon, with lingering piney juniper.
